The Church extends a healing and reconciling ministry to those who have been divorced and remarried, that may include an annulment process to allow for sacramental remarriage in the Church. Significant changes in Canon Law in the past ten years have made annulments possible for a greater variety of reasons. Contact one of our parish priests at (630) 232-0124.
The Natural Family Planning Seminar is an opportunity for engaged and married couples to gain meaningful insight into Church teaching on marriage and family, with an emphasis on family planning. Presenters include Certified NFP instructors and married couples. They give personal witness to the value and benefits of following the natural family planning process. NFP is a scientific and natural means of achieving, avoiding or spacing births that is healthy and effective. As couples plan their families using the Natural Family Planning process, they show respect and honor for God's design of their fertility. Benefits of following Church teaching in the area of family planning include the ability to space births with a clear conscience; and since NFP involves communication and cooperation, which in turn strengthens the marriage, the risk of divorce is minimized.
